Satya Yuga
Its the most significant beginning of the 4 cycles. Knowledge, meditation, and penance hold special importance in this era. All the pillars of Dharma are present (legs of the bull of dharma). Its the golden age where the people are engaged only in good, sublime deeds.

The golden age is at hand where a revolution of a sort, will bring peace and diminish the degenerate and the wicked, kali yuga is ending and Kalki is coming to defeat the Kali demon. Justice and heroic spiritual valor will reinforce on the ashes of the modern society. Its said that the golden age will begin in about 400 years.
Treta Yuga
In this era, the power of the people starts to slightly diminish. Kings and the high class actively let materialistic ideals into their lives resulting of fulfiling THEIR desires instead of using their divine will. People forget spirituality and let materialistic desires grow. The result of this are wars and climate changes.
Despite that, Treta Yuga brought knowledge resulting in further understanding of the natural forces and the true nature of the universe.
Treta Yuga is the second cycle of life. Its 1,296,000 years long.
Dvapara Yuga
Everyone is subjected to achieving heroic virtues, natural competitive dominance but in a class system, their life is mostly governed by penance and charity. The divine presence fades away as people administer kingly and pleasure seeking traits whilst forgetting their divinity. People are punished with ailments, diseases and varius types of desires. The realization of reality (material) gives them a need for performing penance.
Dvapara yuga lasts 864,000 years
Its the third of the 4 cycles of life.
Kali yuga
A cycle that describes the end of the world and the inevitable fall of civilization by subverting the people into pure materialistic beliefs, general evil and the subversion of degeneracy. Morality weakens and the people are the furthest from god and divine presence. Each cycle removes 1 leg of the bull of dharma meaning that 1 leg = 1 quarter of morallity. Golden age has the bull with four legs, kali yuga has just 1 leg present. We live in the kali yuga cycle, it started when Kalki left the earth to return to Vaikhunta.
Its the last of the 4 cycles. Kali yuga started on 18th February 3102 BCE
